WWE News: EC3 unhappy with loss on RAW
What's the story?
EC3 has had a pretty interesting start to his main roster debut on RAW. He's had a pretty lackluster run so far, making his debut more or less as background filler during the closing portion of 2018.
Since then, he picked up a big win over Dean Ambrose in his debut match on last week's edition of Monday Night RAW and was in the process of building up some momentum. Tonight, he faced Dean Ambrose in a rematch from last week where things went a little sour.
In case you didn't know...
EC3 made his main roster debut in December 2018 for the RAW brand as part of a backstage segment. After several weeks, EC3 would finally make his official debut for RAW on the "Moment of Bliss" talk segment on February 4th, whilst picking up a victory over Dean Ambrose in his RAW debut match. This week, a rematch was booked and didn't exactly go the way EC3 wanted...
The heart of the matter
After an intense match, Dean Ambrose defeated EC3 after a small package roll-up. Following the loss to Ambrose, EC3 took to his Twitter page to display his feelings of disappointment and frustration in one simple sentence. Granted, this is to be taken as a storyline progression remark versus something that would be said on a personal level.
Having said that, this is interesting for someone who has debuted as a babyface for the main roster and has received a less than lukewarm reception.
What's next?
This makes for an interesting take, as you could say that EC3 would make for a better heel than a babyface and therefore raises the question as to why WWE is continuing with his face run.
We will see how his character continues to progress in the weeks to come, but needless to say, EC3 is off to a rocky start and needs to pick up some major steam heading into WrestleMania.
