WWE News: Edge shares his views on Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar

Edge setting up his trademark Spear

Rated R Superstar Edge, recently had a sit-down interview with Jonathan Coachman on ESPN SportsCentre, this Wednesday.

On being asked for his views on Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar, Edge said that it is not going to be a pretty affair, as Lesnar and Goldberg are two big dudes. He also stated that Brock is a complete freak, and recalled his match with him at WWE Rebellion, in 2002. He went on to claim that Goldberg ran through people, and wondered, what the match is going to be like.

Furthermore, Edge said that he understands how it feels to be in a match with Lesnar, but is clueless as to what Goldberg can do to his opponents, as he has never wrestled him. While Edge earlier mentioned that he believes that Lesnar would win the match, he quickly corrected himself by claiming that he doesn't know how the bout will turn out.

When asked for his views on Goldberg's return, the 43-year-old said that although he was a little surprised by it, he understands that Goldy came back to be a superhero again for the kids and showcase his wrestling skills to his wife and son; who have never seen his wrestle before.

Edge appreciated Goldberg's courage to get back in the ring and claimed that he is still the same guy that his fans remember him being.

Coachman further went on to ask Edge who he thought, delivered a better Spear, Edge or Goldberg. To this Edge took a diplomatic approach and said that it depends on how one looks at it.

While Goldy likes to run through people, he can pull off a spear from the top of a ladder. Furthermore, Edge said that he believes, Goldberg would not try the same feat, but felt that superstars would prefer to be struck by his Spear over Goldberg's.

Who do you think hits it better?

The Rated R Superstar was also questioned upon why he was sporting a beard. To this, Edge replied that he was shooting for a television series called ‘Vikings’, and the role demanded him to grow a beard.
