From the WWE Rumor Mill: Elimination Chamber tickets not selling well

Elimination Chamber isn't selling as well as WWE would have hoped
Elimination Chamber apparently isn't selling as well as WWE would have hoped

What's the story?

Elimination Chamber is the Raw brand's final pay-per-view stop on the Road to WrestleMania but it seems that the ticket sales for the event aren't going too well, even though Ronda Rousey has already been announced to be in attendance for signing her WWE contract.

In case you didn't know...

History will be made at Elimination Chamber on Sunday night when the women step inside the steel structure for the first time as Alexa Bliss defends the Raw Women's Championship against Sasha Banks, Bayley, Mickie James, Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose.

The men will also be fighting it out in the first-ever men's seven-man Elimination Chamber match for the right to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania in April. Ronda Rousey will also be part of the event as she signs her WWE contract and makes just her second appearance for the company and her first since her debut at The Royal Rumble last month.

The heart of the matter

It seems that despite offering so much at the event, tickets for Elimination Chamber can't be selling all that well since AXS.com are currently offering a deal where if you buy one ticket for the show then you will receive another one for free.

Especially since it was announced last night that Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt will once again collide as part of the

What's next?

Regardless of the ticket sales, Elimination Chamber will take place this coming weekend, live from Las Vegas and it will see a new number one contender for the Universal Championship crowned, whilst the Raw Women's Champion and her challenger at WrestleMania will also be named.

Author's take

Elimination Chamber has much more hype surrounding it than this year's Fastlane, so ticket sale issues for this kind of event isn't a great sign for WWE. With WrestleMania right around the corner and this being seen as their peak season, it doesn't bode well for the company moving forward, since ticket sales usually take quite a hit after WrestleMania as well.
