WWE News: Ellsworth expected to sign a full-time contract if he hasn't signed one already
According to a report from PWinsider.com, enhancement talent, James Ellsworth is expected to sign a full-time deal with the WWE, if he hasn't already.
Last month it was reported by PWinsider, that the higher-ups in the WWE did wish to sign Ellsworth for a full-time contract. This surprise push to sign Ellsworth with the company came, after the higher-ups noticed that his official WWEShop merchandise was outselling Roman Reigns and Goldberg's.
Ellsworth, who's been wrestling for 14 years on the independent scene, made his debut in the WWE on July 25th on Monday Night RAW. He was initially recruited for a squash match against Braun Strowman.
The internet immediately fell in love with the "chinless jobber" and was thus, sent to SmackDown Live! where he was used in segments involving the WWE World Champion AJ Styles and Styles' rival, Dean Ambrose.
Ellsworth in his run on SmackDown has already defeated AJ Styles twice and in the last episode, it was announced by General Manager, Daniel Bryan that he'll serve as a mascot for Team SmackDown during their match against Team RAW at Survivor Series, in a traditional SS tag-team match.
Ellsworth now has also received his very own entrance theme and graphics.
This isn't Ellsworth's first stint with the WWE. He's worked a few dark matches before and gets called to serve as an enhancement talent, whenever WWE does a live show in Baltimore. Ellsworth has also worked as an extra in the WWE, as one of Adam Rose's Rosebuds.
Ellsworth is a huge fan of the Ultimate Warrior, The Midnight Express, and "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Ellsworth also runs his own pro-wrestling promotion, which known as "Adrenaline Championship Wrestling". Adrenaline Championship Wrestling is based in Maryland.
As mentioned above Ellsworth has wrestled for 14 years on the independent scene. He's worked in several companies such as Combat Zone Wrestling, Big Time Wrestling, Dynamite Championship Wrestling, and American Combat Wrestling to name a few.
