WWE News: Enzo Amore set to defend Cruiserweight title at Survivor Series
What's the story?
Enzo Amore and Kalisto have been in quite a feud, as they have exchanged the title twice between themselves. It was announced on 205 Live that Enzo Amore will defend his title one more time against Kalisto at Survivor Series.
In case you didn't know...
Enzo Amore has been one of the main eventers of 205 Live ever since he joined the Cruiserweight Division. After he managed to win the title from Neville, he entered into a feud with Kalisto, who was also new to the division. Kalisto was able to take the Championship away from Enzo when the faced each other in a title match for the first time.
His title reign was extremely short though, as the title changed hands once again at WWE TLC, and Enzo became the Champion once more.
The heart of the matter
The Cruiserweight Division will apparently not have any part of the feud between SmackDown Live and Raw at Survivor Series. With the match between Enzo Amore and Kalisto announced for the pay-per-view, it is the first match that will see the two brands not competing against each other.
Enzo has been on quite a run since he joined the Cruiserweight Division. After attracting the loyalty of some members of the division, he has been flying high, something that he has not done since the early days of his tag team with Big Cass.
He will hope to emerge from the match still the Champion, and the confrontation will possibly bring an end to the feud between the two.
What's next?
Survivor Series will be held on 19th November, 2017 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
Author's take
Enzo is entertaining because he irritates and annoys the WWE Universe by simply being himself. That said, without a proper feud, no match means anything at all. WWE is in need of a star to challenge Enzo and Kalisto just does not cut it.
