WWE News: Eva Marie lands role in Nicholas Cage film

Is All Red Everything making a big-screen transition?

While calling Eva Marie the most unpopular/despised wrestler in WWE would be an understatement, her call-up to the main roster and booking on Smackdown Live surprisingly made people begin to look forward to her appearances. Her acts of avoiding every match as much as possible ensued in some comedic gold, and it looked like she was finding her position on Smackdown Live, and there were even rumors that she was going to be crowned the first ever Smackdown Women’s Champion.

However, she faced a 30-day suspension, apparently being popped for Adderall, the same substance for which Roman Reigns was suspended for. Her husband, Jonathan Coyle, said he was outraged, and promised to prove that the suspension was unjust. But just like that, the tweets were then taken down.

Eva Marie is going to return from her suspension not too long from now, however, it is expected that she will be leaving again in just a matter of time since she has landed quite a big acting gig.

All Red Everything has landed a film role in Jonathan Baker's "Inconceivable", alongside Nicholas Cage, Faye Dunaway, and Nicky Whelan. The summary of the plot of the film is as follows:

When Katie (Whelan) moves to town with her young daughter — starting a new life after enduring abuse in her past — she quickly befriends another mother, Angela, and her husband Brian (Cage). Angela notices odd behavior from Katie and begins to question whether Katie’s intentions are as innocent as she makes them out to be, or if something dark is lurking beneath the surface.

Eva Marie will be have served her complete suspension by the 18th of September. This means that she should be appearing on the September 20th edition of Smackdown Live. It will definitely be very interesting to see what her role and status in the card is post-Backlash. Maybe she will pick off with the angle she left off at, which would be the angle where she always finds excuses to avoid a match. It wouldn’t be surprising if they put the title on her at one point to gain as much heat off her as possible, so that when a loveable babyface does eventually conquer her, the moment will be extremely sweet.

Either way, with the upcoming film role, it looks like she won’t be consistently part of the programming any time soon.
