What's the story?

Former WWE Superstar Eva Marie, in a recent interview with ESPN W, spoke about what her future plans are, as well as The Rock's influence in her career and the advice he's given to her over the years.

In case you didn't know...

Eva Marie was signed by the WWE in 2013 to the main roster and was then moved to NXT in 2015, before returning to the main roster in 2016. She was drafted to SmackDown in 2016, but was later suspended for breaching WWE's wellness policy.

The former Total Divas star was released by the WWE earlier this year.

The heart of the matter

Marie who joined the cast of Total Divas almost immediately after signing with the WWE said that her spell with the reality show made her comfortable in front of the camera and primed her for what she was to face in the WWE.

While talking about her future plans, she revealed that she wants to do a whole host of things and that the "sky is the limit" for her: "I want it all. I really want to expand with movies and I would love to land on a TV show, like a Netflix original series, that would be fantastic.

"I want to do a lot of charity work -- I'm a person that's in recovery [from an alcohol addiction] so I really want to put out that message as well. There's a lot that I want to do, the sky is the limit," said the former WWE NXT Superstar.

She also spoke fondly about The Rock and how he's been a huge influence in her career: "I love talking to The Rock. He's done the transition from WWE to the mainstream so well. He always tells me to stay my lane, not to compare myself to other people and just do the work. He's been fantastic and I'm really fortunate to have that relationship with him. It would be great to emulate his career, but we'll see what happens."

What's next?

In the same interview, she did not rule out a return to the WWE, so it's quite likely that we'll see "Ms. All Red Everything" on WWE screens once more.

Author's take

Eva Marie has the looks as well as the talent to make it big as an actress, but it'll take her a lot of hard work and some luck to reach the heights that The Rock has reached in Hollywood.
