WWE News: Fan with 'JBL bullied me' sign escorted out of the arena; 'Fire JBL' chants rampant on SmackDown

The Fans have started becoming vocal about JBL’s bullying ways

What’s the story?

During the latest edition of SmackDown LIVE, the audience backlash against JBL and his bullying ways commenced, quite strongly. According to a report on Wrestling Inc., a section of the audience chanted for his dismissal while a man with a sign about JBL was escorted out of the building by WWE’s security guards.

In case you didn’t know...

JBL and his backstage bullying ways have become the subject of conversation in the professional wrestling world, thanks to an expose by Justin Roberts in his book and SmackDown LIVE announcer Mauro Ranallo taking time off from work, allegedly because of his co-commentator.

WWE is a company that publicly stands against bullying and this has showcased them in a bad light. Mauro Ranallo has battled mental issues all through his life, and his condition was allegedly aggravated by JBL. While his contract with WWE is far from over, he is not expected to be back on screen soon.

The heart of the matter

A fan carried a sign that said ‘JBL Bullied Me’ to the arena, where SmackDown LIVE was being filmed and it was even seen on TV. Security escorted him out of the arena.

Sadly that was not all as the WWE fans chanted ‘Fire JBL’ in unison too. The pressure is mounting for WWE to act soon.

What's next?

Mauro Ranallo isn’t returning to WWE anytime soon, but it remains to be seen if WWE will let these developments tide over or act upon them, to preserve their clean public image. It is a well-known fact that JBL is a friend of Vince McMahon, and it remains to be seen if this will play a factor in the eventual outcome.

Author’s take

Quite simply put, we echo the audience. Fire JBL and make an example out of him.
