WWE News: Finn Balor continues to joke about him not being over with the WWE Universe
What's the story?
Former WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor doesn't seem to be too much bothered about the recent reports that seem to suggest that he is not 'over' with the WWE Universe as he seems to be in a very jolly mood and continues to joke regarding the situation, via his social media.
In case you didn't know...
On the latest episode of the Wrestling Observer; Dave Meltzer revealed that WWE seemed to have lost their faith in Finn Balor, as they seem to find Balor bland and believe that he is not 'over' with the WWE Universe.
It has also been reported by Meltzer that WWE has now scrapped the plans for a possible match between Finn Balor and Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship, at next year's Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
It was also reported by Sports Illustrated that WWE doesn't seem to find Balor as a potential top guy and might demote him to the mid-card.
The heart of the matter
The reports of Balor not being over with the WWE audience have circulated on the social media for a while now, however, Balor has responded to them in a very cheeky manner and has earlier this week, tweeted out a photo of him in tackling down Roman Reigns with a caption that read: #BalorClub. fOreVER.
It was pretty much clear that the former NXT Champion highlighted the word 'over' via his caption on Twitter and responded to all the rumours in a humorous manner.
However, the 36-year-old was not done with the jokes as on the recently concluded Thanksgiving, Balor once again posted a photo on Twitter, this time with him cooking a turkey. Much like last time, The Demon King's caption was full of humour as it read: 'I AM NOT OVER... Cooking the turkey #HappyThanksgiving' as he continued joking about the fact that he is not 'over' with the WWE Universe.
What's next?
As for Balor, previous plans for him suggested that he would face off against "The Beast" Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship at the 2018 Royal Rumble PPV. However, now with the change of plans, fans are still not sure what WWE has next in store for the leader of the Balor Club.
Author's take
I think a lot of people will agree with me on the fact that Finn Balor is a main-event calibre talent and deserves to get a shot at the Universal Championship in 2018. I believe that Vince McMahon should not lose his hope on The Demon King and should push him to the moon next year. I would also love to see the former Bullet Club leader win the WWE Universal Championship once again.
