WWE News: Finn Balor names his dream opponents for WrestleMania 34
What's the story?
Finn Balor has wowed us all ever since making it to the main roster in the WWE. ‘The Demon King’ starred during his NXT time and his transition to RAW saw him also pick up the WWE Universal title after defeating Seth Rollins.
Balor recently spoke about which wrestler he would want to face at WrestleMania 34, however, the Irishman stated that he would want to face three wrestlers at the biggest event in the wrestling calendar.
In case you didn't know...
Balor was one of the rising stars after picking up the Universal title but he had to relinquish his title after picking up an injury.
He did get back to wrestling big-time as he was involved in a massive rivalry with Bray Wyatt and that should continue for a few weeks more as ‘The Eater of Worlds’ is set to return to the WWE after a bout of illness.
The heart of the matter
Balor was speaking to Ringside Collectibles at Ringside Fest 2017 where he was asked who his dream opponent for WrestleMania 34 would be.
Without missing a beat, Balor responded that he wanted to face a couple of legends and a friend at WrestleMania.
"There's a lot of people I would love to face... Triple H, Undertaker, AJ Styles. Either one of them, singles, one-on-one. Listen, I could wrestle eight matches at WrestleMania if I wanted to. I'm fit."
Balor did face Styles at the TLC pay-per-view where their fight was possibly the best one from the card and should they meet again, the pair will bring the house down, irrespective of which show they perform in.
What's next?
Balor would be looking to get back into the ring and possibly face Wyatt. ‘The Demon King’ was to face Wyatt at TLC but that had to be changed as Wyatt suffered an illness, and AJ Styles had to be brought in for Wyatt.
Balor should be back on RAW this week and hopefully, the feud with Wyatt can resume.
Author's take
Balor has already faced Styles but the other two would be tough matches to plan. Triple H is working more behind the scenes but might be wrestling in one-off matches, such as the one against Jinder Mahal in the Tour of India.
The Undertaker taking on Balor would certainly tear the roof down of the arena where they fight but again this seems highly unlikely given that Taker has retired from the ring.
There still is a lot of time before the storylines for WrestleMania 34 are decided and hopefully, Balor will have an amazing match at the pay-per-view.
