What’s the story?

On this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw, Finn Balor suffered yet another devastating loss to ‘The Architect’ Seth Rollins and shortly afterward, the former Universal Champion took to his official Twitter handle in order to comment on his third loss to Seth Rollins.

In case you didn’t know…

Ever since being called up to the main roster, Finn Balor has had quite the rivalry with former WWE Champion Seth Rollins. The two men initially faced-off at SummerSlam 2016 when Balor came out on top and got the better-off ‘The Kingslayer’ in order to become the first ever WWE Universal Champion.

In the past, both Balor and Rollins have defeated each other on numerous occasions, with Balor getting a big win over Rollins back in March and the latter also earning another important victory over ‘The Demon King’ back in January.

The heart of the matter

This week on Monday Night Raw in Montreal, Canada, Finn Balor and Seth Rollins once again competed in yet another amazing one-on-one Intercontinental Championship match, with Balor looking to capitalize on his lost opportunity from WrestleMania 34 and The Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia.

However, after yet another instant classic match on Raw, Seth Rollins once again successfully defended his IC Title, as he overcame the challenge of ‘The Demon King’, via his finishing maneuver, Blackout.

Balor then took to his Twitter handle and commented on his loss to ‘The Architect’ stating that there is apparently no shame in losing to Seth Rollins, as he tweeted out the following:

In addition, Balor also posted another tweet, hinting towards a potential change of direction for the leader of The Balor Club.

What’s next?

After failing to capture the IC Title on three different occasions, it’ll be interesting to note what the WWE now has in store for Finn Balor and if they decide to finally pull the trigger on a potential heel turn for the first ever Universal Champion.

Author’s Take

Personally, I hope that WWE does indeed decide to turn Finn Balor heel and let him start channeling his inner demon on special occasions as well. If needed Balor could also recruit a few members to The Balor Club as well.
