WWE News: Finn Balor removed from all the WWE live events for this weekend

Finn Balor became the first ever WWE Universal Champion at Summerslam 2016.

What's the story?

Ringsidenews.com reports that Finn Balor has been removed from all the RAW-exclusive WWE live events of this weekend. He didn’t appear in yesterday’s show in Providence and was reportedly removed from the card at the last moment.

In case you didn’t know....

Finn Balor squared off against Jinder Mahal In the recent episode of RAW. Although he was successful in securing a victory over Mahal, Balor suffered a concussion in the match.

Balor will be out of action for about two to three weeks owing to the injury.

The heart of the matter

The injury apparently occurred when Mahal delivered a stiff elbow strike to Balor’s head resulting in the concussion.

Balor was scheduled to be in action in the house shows following Wrestlemania 33, but the untimely injury will prevent him from performing for some time. Changes were thereby made to various cards. In last night’s live event in Providence, Sami Zayn teamed with Seth Rollins in a match against the duo of Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens.

What’s next?

Finn Balor is still advertised for next week’s live events and further evaluation of his medical condition will determine his presence in those house shows.

Author’s take

Balor made a triumphant WWE return on the post-WrestleMania 33 RAW by teaming up with Seth Rollins to take on the team of Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens. However, he started to work in the live events in the weeks leading up to WWE’s ‘Show of shows'. So if he returns for a house show, it will be safe to assume that a return to WWE-TV will be following it.

Balor had just recovered from a shoulder injury but is unfortunately back on the shelf due to a concussion. I just hope that he undergoes a quick recovery so that we, the WWE Universe, can see him excel as the top guy on Raw.
