What's the story?

Wrestling Inc reported that Finn Balor was recently interviewed by Ringside Collectibles at Ringside Fest 2017. In the interview, he talked about his experience facing AJ Styles at TLC 2017 and also the WWE stars he wanted in his faction.

He revealed that his faction would obviously have Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, but they were not the only ones whom he wanted on his team.

In case you didn't know...

Finn Balor was involved in a dream match with AJ Styles at TLC when AJ filled in for Bray Wyatt at short notice.

Finn Balor was the leader of the original Bullet Club in New Japan, and Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson were in his faction from the very beginning. When Anderson and Gallows came to WWE it was expected they would join either Balor or Styles, to form a WWE version of the Bullet Club.

While they did join AJ and helped him to win his first title, teaming up with Balor has only been lightly teased ever since he came to the main roster from NXT.

The heart of the matter

Finn was asked in the interview who he would like to form a tag team with if he were to ever go after the tag team titles. Balor did not like the question, and instead talked about with whom he would like to form a faction.

His answer had two of the obvious names in the form of Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. However, the two other stars he named was an answer not expected by anyone.

He said that he wanted the Authors of Pain to be the other two members of his faction, as he felt that no one would mess with him then.

"I'd definitely have Karl Anderson. Luke Gallows, probably the most underrated big man in the game. Here's the kicker: I would add in The Authors Of Pain. Who's gonna mess with me then? I could just stand in the front and I can have Karl Anderson here, Gallows here, The Authors Of Pain on each side."

What's next?

Finn Balor is currently set to be on Team Raw on the Men's team, heading into the Survivor Series Clash with SmackDown Live.

Author's take

Finn Balor is an amazing future prospect for WWE, and could easily take over as the major star of the company in the next few years, given the right push. A strong faction would go a long way to cement his stature as a star. A faction with Gallows, Anderson and the Authors of Pain could make him seem unstoppable.
