WWE News: Finn Balor's response to Vince McMahon's XFL announcement
What's the story?
Only a few hours ago, Vince McMahon shocked the world of entertainment with a big announcement- the return of XFL. Finn Balor used this opportunity to make an announcement of his own.
We can safely say that this announcement was far less newsworthy than Vince McMahon's own. However, the timing is impeccable (as always), and Balor's announcement bears a tinge of his trademark sense of humour.
In case you didn't know...
WWE Superstar Finn Balor is known to be quite the troll on social media. Remember the time he made a whole comic series about 'not being over' on his Twitter account?
When the whole world of wrestling and sport was buzzing with Vince McMahon's announcement, he chose this moment to make his own claim.
Balor was last seen with The Balor Club and D-Generation X, laying a beat down on The Revival.
The heart of the matter
One doesn't have to be a genius to figure out that the picture that has been shared is a play on the movie- 300. Instead, the number reads 30, which is the total number of participants who'll be a part of the Royal Rumble match.
Balor makes a bold claim, saying that he'll be the last man standing when the Royal Rumble has concluded. So far, the betting odds do not seem to point in his favour, and neither does the rumour mill, to be quite honest. Balor's claim may just be, in essence, just hyperbole.
What's next?
The Royal Rumble pay-per-view will be streamed live on the WWE Network, this weekend. Finn Balor will be a part of the field of 30. We wonder if the Demon King will make an appearance too.
Author's take
I love watching Finn Balor perform. But there's no way he's winning the Royal Rumble.
As always, I love his sense of humour and wish him nothing but the very best, for the year 2018.
