WWE News: Former UFC Champion has a bone to pick with JBL

JBL has been called out by MMA legend Pat Miletich.

What’s the story?

Following in the footsteps of fellow MMA legend Bas Rutten, UFC Hall-of-Famer and MMA pioneer Pat Miletich levied a few serious accusations against WWE’s John Bradshaw Layfield.

Taking to social media, he called out JBL for a “man to man discussion” and accused the WWE personality of strong-arming Mauro Ranallo.

In case you didn’t know..

Miletich is a longtime friend of Mauro Ranallo, with their acquaintance going back to the days when the former used to compete as an MMA fighter.

The pro-wrestling world was recently rocked by allegations of JBL’s backstage bullying of several current as well as former WWE employees including former WWE ring announcer Justin Roberts as well as the aforementioned Ranallo.

The heart of the matter:

The former UFC 170-pound champion claimed that his close friend Ranallo was strong-armed by JBL, and that he had a bone to pick with the former WWE champion, whilst ominously stating that JBL may have a visitor for a “real SmackDown”.

Although Ranallo’s WWE contract reportedly ends this August, he is not expected to appear for the company anytime soon, after taking a leave of absence from his WWE commentary duties since missing March 14th’s SmackDown LIVE tapings.

In wake of the rampant rumors that John Bradshaw Layfield’s backstage bullying is the main reason behind Ranallo’s absence from WWE, several fans as well as pro-wrestling MMA personalities have been calling out JBL on the issue.

What’s next?

Mauro Ranallo will be seen back in the commentary booth, albeit not in the WWE, but on Showtime Boxing, and as Ranallo himself has promised- in the sport of MMA. He’s also resumed his duties alongside Bas Rutten on the Rutten & Ranallo podcast.

Author’s take:

Man, this JBL bullying saga gets uglier by the minute. I, for one, refrain from crucifying the guy without any concrete evidence, but given his past issues with a laundry list of co-workers in the WWE- John Layfield’s case seems to get weaker with the sheer number of former colleagues coming out of the woodworks to accuse the man.

Remember kids, the WWE stands for anti-bullying with several social-welfare programs under its belt including the Be A Star campaign. Be A Star JBL!
