WWE News: Former WWE Superstar becomes Mayor of Longwood, Florida
What's the story?
Former WWE Superstar Matt Morgan was recently elected the Mayor of Longwood, Florida.
Morgan's win came in the wake of a unanimous decision of 5-0 in his favor.
In case you didn't know...
Morgan came into the WWE in late 2003, when he became a part of Brock Lesnar's Team Lesnar, alongside Lesnar himself, The Big Show, Nathan Jones, and A Train. The five Superstars took on Team Angle in a traditional Survivor Series Elimination match at the PPV, in a losing effort.
Upon his return to the squared circle in 2005, Morgan became Carlito's sidekick, and helped him defeat The Big Show at the Judgment Day PPV. He was soon released and went on to become a mainstay in Impact Wrestling. While in Impact, he went on to become a two-time World Tag Team Champion, alongside the likes of Crimson and Hernandez. He ran for public office in 2017, and defeated incumbent Mark Weller as District 4 City Commissioner of Longwood, Florida

Morgan became the Commissioner of Longwood, Florida in November, 2017. It has been confirmed now that he was chosen as the Mayor of Longwood in a unanimous decision, and will begin his mayorship tonight. Matt Morgan confirmed this on Twitter by retweeting a tweet that contained the news. Earlier, Wrestling Inc. had confirmed the news via a tweet.
