WWE News: Gangrel says Bray Wyatt wanted him to return to WWE
What’s the story?
David William Heath aka Gangrel recently spoke about Former WWE Champion Bray Wyatt wanting him to return to the company.
In an interview with The Roman Show, he gave his opinion on The Brood possibly being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, his former ‘Brood’ teammate Edge, the Hardy Boyz and more.
In case you didn’t know...
David Heath is best known for his time with the WWE (then- WWF) from 1998-2001, after which he would make sporadic appearances for the company, besides wrestling on the indie circuit since 2001.
Gangrel has also dabbled in the adult film industry and has acted in the mainstream movie, The Human Centipede 3.
The heart of the matter
WWF’s famous vampire revealed that he’d previously spoken to Wyatt about a potential return to WWE and also gave his thoughts on the Brood’s potential induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. Here’s what he said regarding the same:
“I was talking to Bray Wyatt. He wanted me to come in, but the thing is WWE doesn’t own the rights to the name of Gangrel so that got shut down. It would have been fun. I probably would have come in as a manager. But I always wrestle. It’s never too late.”
Gangrel pointed out his former stablemate Edge’s WWE Hall of Fame induction and stated that he hopes for their vampire group The Brood, to one day be inducted into the Hall of Fame. He also praised Matt and Jeff Hardy, asserting that they’re both great stars today and stated he’s proud of them all.

What’s next?
Gangrel continues to participate in professional wrestling events on the regional circuit and apart from his sporadic WWE appearances, with the most recent coming on The Edge and Christian Show last year, he has no plans of returning to the WWE as of yet.
Author’s take
The Brood’s Gothic leader, the Undertaker’s right-hand man in The Ministry of Darkness, the blood-drawing vampire wild-child Gangrel would’ve made a great fit with the Wyatt Family alongside the ‘New Face of Fear’ Bray Wyatt.
Unfortunately, due to silly paperwork issues (shrugs shoulders and rolls eyes), Gangrel won’t return to WWE in an on-screen capacity. Anyway, all you Gothic wrasslin’ fans out there can catch his daily exploits on social media where he’s Fangin’ and Bangin’ for life!
