WWE News: Goldberg announces he will be taking a break after WrestleMania
Bill Goldberg was one of the most popular wrestlers in WCW in the 1990’s, at the peak of the Monday Night Wars era, before joining WWE in the 2000’s. He is famous for his 183-0 winning streak in WCW which cemented his status as a pro-wrestling god.
Goldberg came back to WWE late last year to promote WWE 2k17, the video game, and then announced that he would be coming back to the company to face Brock Lesnar’s challenge at Survivor Series. Soon enough, a match was booked between the ‘Beast incarnate’ Brock Lesnar and the veteran, Goldberg, at Survivor Series 2016. The match saw a surprising end when Goldberg defeated Brock in a swift 1 minute and 26 seconds.
Goldberg also eliminated Brock Lesnar from the 2017 Royal Rumble match. He then went on to defeat Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Championship at WWE Fastlane.
Slated to face Lesnar in a title match at WrestleMania 33, Goldberg hosted a Twitter Q&A recently where a fan asked him what his plans were after WrestleMania. Goldberg promptly replied that he will be taking some time off to “reflect and then head back to the gym”.

There is still hope that Goldberg might come back to WWE, despite his hiatus, though nothing can be confirmed at the moment about his return to the ring.
