WWE News: Goldberg injured, comments on current physical status
What’s the story?
WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg has taken to social media so as to reveal that he’s presently dealing with an injury.
Apparently, Goldberg responded to Booker T’s pull-up challenge, and in the process shed light on the injury he’s currently dealing with.
In case you didn’t know…
Bill Goldberg is a former pro-football player and has always been widely regarded as one of the greatest pure athletes to ever compete in the sport of professional wrestling.
Goldberg has also actively been training in the striking-based martial arts discipline of Muay Thai for the past several years.
The heart of the matter
As we’d previously reported, Booker T recently challenged Goldberg to a pull-up contest, pose-down and/or a match at WrestleMania 35.
Apparently, Booker T’s challenge was in light spirits, and merely a response in jest to Goldberg telling him to quit using his hoverboard to get around backstage at WrestleMania 34.
Nevertheless, Goldberg has now taken to his official Twitter account and stated that he’s suffering from two torn rotator cuffs and will be unable to participate in the pull-up challenge for now. Goldberg stated—
“With two torn rotator cuff’s I must decline the pull-up challenge..... but we can go a few rounds!!!”
What’s next?
Goldberg stepped away from the sport of professional wrestling last year, however, has time and again reiterated that he could indeed consider a comeback to the ring in the days to come.
Meanwhile, Booker T returns to the Monday Night RAW commentary team for tonight’s episode.
Author’s take
Booker T and Goldberg are truly in phenomenal shape, despite having sustained considerable wear and tear from lengthy pro-wrestling careers.
Goldberg seems to be dealing with shoulder injury issues right now, and here’s hoping the WCW/WWE legend makes a safe and speedy recovery.
