WWE News: Goldberg invites Brock Lesnar to elbow him

Goldberg is not afraid of The beast or what he did to Randy Orton at Summerslam

As the world of pro-wrestling gears up for a confrontation between Brock Lesnar and Goldberg, this Sunday at Survivor Series; the latter issued a warning to The Beast Incarnate on TMZ.

Goldberg corrected the interviewer who said that Goldberg is going against Brock Lesnar, by saying that Lesnar was going against him because Goldberg ‘kicked his a** 12 years ago’. The interviewer went on to ask if things have changed in 12 years, and Goldberg said that it hasn’t, because he hasn’t been sitting on his couch, eating Bon Bons.

Goldberg is also confident he can pick Lesnar up, because delivered a Jackhammer to Rusev, who outweighs Brock Lesnar by 40 pounds, quite easily. Moreover, Goldberg is not worried about what Lesnar did to Randy Orton.

This is how Goldberg replied to the interviewer when asked if he was concerned about the outcome of the Randy Orton contest, that Brock was part of, this summer:

‘I don’t care what he did to Randy Orton. I’ve been throwing elbows for the past 12 years in my Muay Thai gym. I hope he throws elbows at me. I’m completely serious.’

He dared the Beast to throw elbows at him. Yes, shots have been fired, and we cannot wait for the outcome.

Lesnar left Orton a bloody mess at Summerslam 2016

Of course, this is a reference to the Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton main event from Summerslam, which ended in a blood bath and Lesnar standing tall. Lesnar has been booked as virtually invincible over the last few months, and his reign of terror should continue against Goldberg, as Goldberg is only back for one match.

So breaking Brock’s streak for Goldberg to pick up a victory makes no booking sense. In fact, some have compared this encounter to the Hulk Hogan vs. Ultimate Warrior match at WCW in 1998, which was just booked so that Hogan could avenge his loss at Wrestlemania 6.

Their last confrontation is not one that fans remember fondly

Bill Goldberg was WCW’s hottest selling product in the late 90s, at the height of the Monday Night Wars. Even though his in-ring skills were limited, ingenious booking ensured that he had a 173 match winning streak consisting of short, powerful squash matches.

His WWE run was not as memorable, and the last confrontation between Beast vs. Myth at Wrestlemania 20 saw both competitors booed out of the building. We do hope that this match is far more hard-hitting, considering how lacklustre Lesnar’s last few outings have been.
