WWE News: Goldberg responds to WWE Superstar taking a shot at his return
What's the Story?
Randy Orton posted a message on twitter mocking Goldberg's return and his big Saudi Arabia payday. Goldberg didn't like the joke and posted a message of his own to the Viper.
In case you didn't know...
WWE announced on their official website that Goldberg is going to return to WWE for a one-off appearance at their next Saudi Arabia show on June 7th. The management has not yet confirmed if it's going to include a wrestling match or is just an appearance to get a good crowd.
Earlier there were reports about Goldberg taking the WWE championship from Kofi Kingston on the show, but those rumors have been put to rest as WWE has still not decided what they would be doing with the returning Superstar.
Randy Orton previously took a dig at Goldberg's hefty payday for agreeing to work on next Saudi Arabia's show. He posted "There goes another two million" while mocking how much the company spent on Bray Wyatt's special effect at Wrestlemania 33 for their WWE championship match.
The Heart of the Matter
Apparently, Randy Orton is not a big fan of the idea of Goldberg returning for a one-off appearance at the next Saudi Arabia's show. He posted:
Goldberg didn't appreciate the joke and didn't take much time to formulate his own response to him.
Goldberg might not be too upset about getting the heft money for a one-off appearance but might have an issue with Randy calling him out on it.
What's Next?
Neither Goldberg nor Randy Orton is officially scheduled for a match at the Saudi Arabia event at the moment, but a rivalry between the two based on a couple of tweets might be a long shot as it just seemed nothing more than friendly banter.
WWE will announce about Goldberg's plan in coming weeks.
