WWE News: Goldberg talks about a possible Hall of Fame induction
As we noted before, Bill Goldberg was a part of the WWE 2K17 media event in New York, below are some of the highlights from his interview given during the event:
On the question of how it feels to be a part of the 2K17 Video game, Goldberg said that he feels good to be able to compete against guys he has never wrestled while also pointing out that he feels good to take on Brock Lesnar once more. He said:
"Once the whole new generation of people they realize that I was a guy that went out there and ripped people's heads off um it's it's cool to introduce myself to him and it's cool to be able to go virtually and compete against guys that I never wrestled, compete against current Superstars and obviously to go out and beat Brock's ass again."
Talking about what inspired him to take the deal to become a part of the video game after more than a decade of leaving WWE, Goldberg said that his son was the reason behind this move:
"The only reason that I did this because my ten-year-old that's it. In the story so far Bryson for 2k and for ultimately WWE to let me back in the game. They provided me with the opportunity to be a good father you know so for that I'm forever grateful."
On the question of whether he misses the physicality, he was used to during his wrestling days the former World Heavyweight Champion said that he does not miss the action due to his Muay Thai training:
"I trained Muay Thai five days a week I don't miss any physicality when I'm getting punched kicked in the head in the face. No, I don't miss it at all. I miss the ability to go out and do things the guys and not get thrown in. Yeah no question about it, but as far as the physicality I get more physicality now than I ever have in my entire life."
Upon being asked about a possible Hall of Fame induction in future, the former WCW star replied something like this:
"Hey, that would be a dream come true for anybody in my position like I say I can't really talk on because I have no control over it. I think what would get me in there is the stuff that I've already done so opening my mouth and expressing my feelings about it would be nothing."
It's notable here that Goldberg is heavily rumored to make a surprise return at SummerSlam this Sunday. Talks suggest that he can cost Brock Lesnar his match against Randy Orton to set up a match between the two at WrestleMania 33.
