WWE News: Goldberg to appear on the final RAW episode before Royal Rumble

The go-home RAW for Royal Rumble could see Goldberg destroy the other superstars in the Rumble match

The go-home episode of RAW for Royal Rumble 2017 is all set to be an explosive affair as Goldberg has been announced to make an appearance at the Quicken Loans Arean for the first time in more than a decade.

Here is the tweet of the historic announcement from The Q’s official Twitter handle:

The final episode of RAW before Royal Rumble is scheduled for January 23rd, which promises to be one heck of a show. WWE is dead serious about making the upcoming Rumble – which would be held at the 60-ooo strong Alamodome -- one of the grandest shows in the illustrious history of the PPV.

Brock Lesnar and Goldberg have already announced themselves as the first two participants in the match, and more addition would come as soon as RAW's upcoming PPV special, Roadblock is in the books.

The former WCW Champion is also scheduled to make an appearance on the January 2nd episode in Tampa, Florida. The current betting odds favour Goldberg to win the mammoth match, while Brock Lesnar is currently a 12:1 favourite. If reports are anything to go by, Goldberg and Brock Lesnar are building towards a rubber match at WrestleMania 33 and WWE would plant the seeds for the final chapter in the rivalry at the Rumble.

Goldberg shocked the world at Survivor Series by squashing the previously unconquerable Brock Lesnar in under two minutes. While many expected Goldberg to call it a day and retire for good, the Myth pulled off another shocker on the fallout Survivor Series RAW by revealing his intentions of going after the WWE Title.

The stage is set now for another showdown between the Beast and The Icon and it surely would be an epic confrontation. But before that could happen, all hell could break loose on RAW.
