WWE News: Goldust praises WWE's present-day roster and locker room
What’s the story?
In a recent tweet, WWE veteran Goldust decided to hand out some worthy praise to the current WWE locker room, by noting that the present day roster is certainly one of the best he has ever seen.
In case you didn’t know…
Goldust’s first WWF (now WWE) match took place way back in 1990, against Paul Diamond, at the Madison Square Garden.
The former WWE Intercontinental Champion, is also the current longest active WWE performer on the roster, having wrestled for the WWE for almost 27 years.
The 48-year-old veteran has also previously competed for WCW, and during his time with both WWF/E and WCW, Goldust has won a total of 20 Championships.
In WCW, he was a two-time United States Heavyweight Champion, a one-time Six-Man Tag Team Champion, and a two-time World Tag Team Champion.
In WWF/E, he is a three-time Intercontinental Champion, a nine-time Hardcore Champion, a one-time World Tag Team Champion, and a two-time WWE Tag Team Champion.
Goldust is also the son of late-great WWE legend and Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes and half-brother of former WWE superstar Cody Rhodes, who is currently competing under the ROH banner.
The heart of the matter
The present-day WWE roster, as we all know, is filled with some of the biggest names in professional wrestling. The likes of John Cena, Randy Orton, Matt and Jeff Hardy, The Big Show are some of the biggest and most experienced veterans of this company
This list of veterans also includes 'The Bizzare One', that is, Goldust himself who has been serving the WWE for well over two decades now.
As noted, Goldust took it to his official Twitter handle recently and claimed after being associated with the Pro Wrestling business for so many years, the former WWE Intercontinental Champion can now proudly claim that today’s WWE roster and the locker room is indeed one of the very best he has ever seen.
Having previously witnessed locker rooms, which were apparently not so kind to Goldust, he now claims himself to be a very proud veteran after witnessing the current WWE talent deciding to step up and work together as a team.
What’s next?
Goldust is currently scheduled to compete in this year’s Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 34 this Sunday in New Orleans.
Author’s Take
The present-day WWE roster is definitely filled with all sorts of different elements starting from veterans to young guns who have been doing a great job in entertaining the Pro Wrestling fans around the globe.
