WWE News: Hall Of Famer reveals why he's against Payback appearance

Hart and Flair have taken shots at each other outside the ring too

The first PPV since WrestleMania is significant from the perspective of the re-established WWE Women’s Championship because it will feature the title’s first defense. At Payback this Sunday, Charlotte, with Ric Flair in her corner will battle WWE veteran Natalya on an even field to retain her crown.

Shane McMahon announced on last week’s RAW that WWE Hall Of Famer Bret Hart will be Natalya’s cornerman to tame the Nature Boy, who has been Charlotte’s partner in crime in all her title defenses and most of her matches so far.

But one can’t help but wonder what version of ‘The Hitman’ we’ll see in Rosemont, especially after he said this to Total Wrestling Magazine: “I do it to honor Nattie, I have no desire to be there no desire to be on TV. I’m happy to be there for Nattie but I’ve just had wrist surgery so it’s not a great time. It’ll be great to put Flair in the Sharpshooter, though.”

The two have had a history of dragging each other’s name through the mud, with Hart disparaging Flair in his autobiography after the latter belittled the former saying that his popularity in America was a fraction of that in his native Canada.
