WWE News: Heartwarming photo of The Undertaker backstage at WrestleMania 34
What's the story?
WWE fan and winner of the Warrior Award at the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2018 ceremony, Jarrius Robertson, tweeted a picture of himself with The Undertaker backstage at WrestleMania 34, and it is heartening to see the young fan with his hero.
Thanks to CagesideSeats for the heads up regarding the tweet.
In case you didn’t know…
Every year since 2015, at the Hall of Fame ceremony during WrestleMania weekend, WWE presents the 'Warrior Award', in memory of The Ultimate Warrior, to those who have "exhibited unwavering strength and perseverance, and who live life with the courage and compassion that embodies the indomitable spirit of the Ultimate Warrior".
WWE superfan Connor Michalek was the first ever recipient in 2015, while 14-year-old Jarrius "JJ" Robertson was awarded the honour this year. Jarrius is a survivor fighting a rare liver disease, and has already gone through double liver transplants. He now works to raise awareness regarding organ donation.
The heart of the matter
The speech by Jarrius was one of the best things about the Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which took place this past Friday before WrestleMania. As is the practice, JJ was handed over the award by Ultimate Warrior's widow, Dana Warrior.
During his speech, Jarrius roasted The Miz and called him his 'leave favorite Superstar', while revealing that Roman Reigns was his hero. He also ribbed John Cena, telling him that at this point, even he had a better chance of going to WrestleMania than the 16-time Champ.
During WrestleMania, "JJ" tweeted a picture of himself with none other than The Phenom, captioning it - "name a better duo" in reference to WrestleMania and The Undertaker.
