WWE News: Huge hint that The Undertaker will join SmackDown Live

Is ‘The Phenom’ coming to the blue brand?

The Undertaker has been known by many names over the years from ‘The Deadman’ to ‘The Phenom’. However, since the 2016 WWE Draft, it would also be fair to call him free agent since he wasn’t eligible for the draft and wasn’t picked by either brand. However, we got a huge hint from last night’s SmackDown Live taping that ‘The Deadman’ might be coming to the blue brand on Tuesday nights. Undertaker’s current wife, former WWE Women’s Champion and former WWE Divas Champion, Michelle McCool was at ringside with the couple two daughters last night during SmackDown Live. Michelle McCool also posted this picture on Instagram showing the signs her and her daughters brought to the show. The photo even had the caption #BlueBrand which has further fueled speculation amongst fans.

A recent photo of The Undertaker appearing to hold a cane led to speculation online that The Undertaker was in no state to perform but this theory has been debunked since as it came out that the can didn’t belong to Taker and he was just holding it. Taker also appears to have changed up his look a little leading to speculation that he is preparing himself for his in-ring return. Taker also met his longtime friend and WrestleMania 32 opponent Shane McMahon in Texas this week as seen in the photo below. Shane McMahon is the current commissioner of SmackDown Live which has not helped in quelling the ‘Undertaker to SmackDown’ rumours.

It was widely expected that The Undertaker would retire after WrestleMania 32 in his home state but that has proved to not be the case. Now, it appears as though Taker will continue till at least WrestleMania 33 and Florida. Speculation is rife that the person who will wrestle Undertaker in his last match and send him into retirement will be none other than ‘The face that runs the place’, John Cena. Cena and Taker’s connection began soon after John Cena made his SmackDown debut in 2002 against Kurt Angle, when Undertaker congratulated John Cena on his valiant losing effort on debut against the Olympic gold medallist.
