From the WWE Rumor Mill: Huge update regarding WrestleMania 35 location
As reported by Barstool Sports, WWE has decided that WrestleMania 35 will be held at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The news comes off the back of months and months of speculation regarding where next year's showcase of the immortals will be held, with NY/NJ being one of the frontrunners for quite some time now. The other major cities in the discussion were Detroit and Philadephia, with the latter apparently making it down to the final two.
Robbie Fox, who broke this story, claims that he spoke with a source close to the deal who confirmed that the New York/New Jersey area will be hosting Mania for the first time since WM29 back in 2013.
April 7th, 2019 is the date that is being discussed at this moment in time, with Fox claiming that confirmation from WWE could come as soon as later this week. The timeframe makes sense given that they usually reveal the news around this time of year.
MetLife being confirmed as the host will lead many fans to believe that WWE is beginning a rotation with certain cities, given that the likes of Minneapolis and Philly continue to be denied the chance to hold the week-long festivities.
While 'Mania itself will be held in New Jersey fans can likely expect plenty of events to take place in NYC considering it's so close by, with Madison Square Garden being a good bet for the 2019 Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
