What’s the story?

Speaking to TMZ Sports, Hulk Hogan responded to Mark Henry’s recent comments regarding him.

Hogan agreed that he should apologize, however, not simply to African-American wrestlers, but all wrestlers. Besides, Hogan also spoke about meeting Triple H, as well as potentially returning to WWE.

In case you didn’t know…

Hulk Hogan was fired from the WWE back in 2015, immediately after a few leaked tapes showing Hogan mouthing racist profanities went viral on the internet.

Nevertheless, certain sections of the professional wrestling community have been calling for Hogan to return to the WWE; citing the fact that the Hulkster has indeed apologized several times for his behavior which was highlighted in the aforementioned tapes.

The heart of the matter

Upon being probed as to whether he’d be making his WWE return, Hulk Hogan jested that we’ve established what everybody already knew, as he challenged Triple H and the latter was afraid.

Hogan then chimed in with a more serious answer, alluding that he met several WWE personalities at HBO Sports’ Andre The Giant documentary premiere, and they were all talking about Andre at the event.

Furthermore, in response to Mark Henry—who recently emphasized that the only condition under which Hogan should be allowed to return to WWE is if he apologizes to all African-American wrestlers—Hogan stated—

“I just heard (Henry) made a comment on TMZ about it and that I should apologize…I totally agree, but not to black wrestlers, to all the wrestlers. Yeah, what I said was way out of line, I'm forever sorry for that, but I never heard Mark Henry say that, he's my boy, man."

"I'm friends with all the guys, man…I'm friends with all the guys, come on. (*regarding his standing with black wrestlers)"

What’s next?

The vast majority of professional wrestling experts believe that Hulk Hogan is set to return to the WWE later this year, and serve as an authority figure; most likely as the General Manager of SmackDown Live.

Author’s take

Hulk Hogan continues to remain one of the most talk-about professional wrestlers, several years after his athletic prime.

Racism is a sensitive issue, and it remains to be seen how Mark Henry reacts to Hogan’s latest comments on the long-running issue.
