WWE News: Impact Wrestling superstar says he wants to teach Roman Reigns how to work
What's the story?
Johnny Impact, who wrestled under the name John Morrison for WWE, was recently interviewed by Chris Van Vliet for WSVN TV-Entertainment. We thank Wrestling Inc. for a transcript of the rather entertaining interview.
During the interview, Impact mentioned a whole host of superstars that he'd like to face in current day WWE. He jokingly also took a shot at Roman Reigns!
In case you didn't know...
You may know Johnny Impact from the work he did with WWE, Lucha Underground and AAA. Currently, he's one of the top guys in Impact Wrestling, and was even in the main event at their biggest pay-per-view, Bound for Glory.
While he's not held any gold with Impact Wrestling thus far, he's a former multiple time Intercontinental Champion as well as a multiple time Tag Team Champion.
The heart of the matter
One of the questions that Impact was asked, was regarding whom he wants to work with in WWE. This was his response:
"There's a lot of cool matchups that are waiting for me in the WWE. I'd love to teach Roman Reigns how to work. Just kidding.
He went on to name a whole host of other opponents:
Seth Rollins. Unfinished business with The Miz. It'd be fun to get back in there and maybe do some Dirt Sheet episodes with him. Me, Miz, Ziggler and Zack Ryder would have a hell of a faction I think. I've never really had a long program with Cena. That'd be a fun one. I have a feeling that Daniel Bryan will be back when he gets cleared.
What's next?
Johnny Impact is still at the top of the card in Impact Wrestling. With Austin Aries' arrival, things have become quite intriguing. We see him being top-tier talent in the company for a really long time indeed.
Author's take
It would be cool to see Johnny Impact in WWE again. However, I prefer him in Impact Wrestling where the spotlight's on him.
I fear he may get lost in the shuffle in today's WWE roster.
