From the WWE Rumor Mill: Injured Superstar cleared to return
What’s the story?
Per Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline, Sin Cara has been cleared for an in-ring return.
Speaking of which, it was also noted that Sin Cara could indeed resume wrestling full-time once again on the WWE’s Tuesday night flagship show right away.
In case you didn’t know…
Sin Cara—currently portrayed by Jorge Arias—is one of the WWE’s most prominent masked characters today.
However, the aforementioned Arias has suffered several injuries in the past; and is well-known for his difficulties in the sport owing to the same. Sin Cara suffered a scary fall this past Sunday.
The heart of the matter
Apparently, the WWE factored in the dangers of allowing Sin Cara to compete at the live event in Lisbon, Portugal on the day following his injury. Hence, the promotion went with Baron Corbin vs Sami Zayn vs Bobby Roode vs Dolph Ziggler for the former’s United States Championship—a matchup which initially involved only Corbin, Zayn and Sin Cara.
Furthermore, veteran professional wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer revealed that Sin Cara has been medically cleared by the WWE to resume in-ring competition. In fact, the popular luchador will return full-time to SmackDown Live effective immediately.
What’s next?
Sin Cara looks to make an impact upon his return to the ring, following the knee injury scare. Whether or not the leg issues affect his performances remains to be seen.
Author’s take
Sin Cara is an excellent high-flyer and a true old-school performer in the business today.
Mr Jorge Arias has time and again defied his injury scares and returned to this great sport, despite having suffered multiple setbacks. The man’s obdurate defiance and stouthearted resilience serve as an inspiration to fans and performers the world over.
Dios bendiga, amigo!
