WWE News: Injured WWE UK Superstar returns to action
What's the story?
We reported a couple of months ago that WWE UK Superstar Wolfgang had picked up an undisclosed injury during a house show that would take him off the rest of the WWE's UK and European tour as well as put him out of action for any independent dates he had booked.
However Wolfgang seems to have healed up as he wrestled in a dark match before this week's set of NXT tapings.
In case you didn't know...
Wolfgang reportedly suffered the injury in a WWE United Kingdom Title match against Pete Dunne during a house show in the United Kingdom. However, his injury was kept under wraps, even though his absence from the UK's invasion of 205 LIVE was conspicuous.
Wolfgang is one of the more prominent members of the WWE's UK division, alongside Trent Seven, Pete Dune and Tyler Bate, having been fairly successful in the WWE's United Kingdom tournament.
The heart of the matter
Whatever injury Wolfgang had seems to have healed as the British Superstar competed in a dark match against NXT wrestler Kona Reeves.
Reeves was accompanied to the ring by Chinese recruit Ming, who attempted to distract Wolfgang for Reeves, but the man from the United Kingdom was able to overcome the numbers game and pick up the victory.
What's next?
If the WWE UK show ever does get off the ground, which is starting to look more and more likely, as rumours of WWE's negotiations with British broadcasters seem to be heating up, it's likely that Wolfgang will be a big part of the show.
Author's take
It's good to see Wolfgang has recovered and is back in action, albeit in a dark match. He hasn't been given the spotlight as much as Tyler Bate or Pete Dunne, but he is every bit as talented and I can't wait to see him, and the rest of the UK Superstars truly given their time to shine in their own show.
