WWE News: Jake 'The Snake' Roberts claims that he didn't enjoy working with Sting
WWE Hall of Famer Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts is widely regarded as one of the finest proponents of in-ring psychology, and you would only assume that working with a kindred spirit in that regard would be an enjoyable experience.
However, as reported by Wrestlinginc.com, Roberts recalls his experiences of working with Sting in WCW quite differently.
“He was very lackadaisical, didn't want to ramp it up. I didn't enjoy it. Bottom line. I didn't enjoy it. It's one thing to go out there and tip your hat and go at it and try to have a great night. But when you go out there and you know the guy across from you just doesn't have his heart in it, [get out]! It's a shame”
It is a surprise at the very least that a consummate professional such as Sting has been described as ‘lackadaisical’, but what is possibly even more eyebrow-raising is how it came against a man who you would expect wrestlers to work an intense match against, in Jake Roberts.
Jake’The Snake’ Roberts’ trouble with alcohol addiction has been well-documented, but so too has his recovery under the wing of Diamond Dallas Page and his DDP Yoga programme.
Jake Roberts last showed up on WWE television during the ‘Old School’ Raw episode in 2014.
