WWE News: Jay Lethal on ROH future; joining Bullet Club, shaving head
What’s the story?
In an interview with Huffington Post UK, Jay Lethal opened up on a myriad of topics, including his future objectives in ROH.
Additionally, Lethal also addressed the prospect of him joining Bullet Club, besides revealing why he shaved off his head.
In case you didn’t know…
Jay Lethal famously got his head shaved by then-Bullet Club member Adam Cole and The Young Bucks last year.
Lethal has held several championships in ROH and is one of the promotion’s top stars today.
The heart of the matter
Jay Lethal asserted that there are two primary objectives he’d like to attain in ROH going forward; that is to win both the promotion’s Tag Team and 6-Man Tag Team Championships; given that he’s already held every other title in ROH.
Furthermore, on potentially joining Bullet Club, Lethal jested that the Bullet Club members are way too cool for him; hence the chances of him joining them are slim.
Besides, Lethal revealed that he shaved off his braids, owing to the fact that he had them for 13 years and they were tugging and thinning out his upper scalp. He recalled how he was at a barbershop, and almost had his head shaved, but told the barber to stop. Lethal continued—
“Then we came up with the idea to have my hair get shaved by Adam Cole on Ring of Honor TV, which came out awesome. I saw little kids and women in the audience crying, and holding their hands over their mouth because they couldn't believe it."
What’s next?
Jay Lethal presently performs for ROH, and competes on the indie circuit.
Author’s take
The Franchise of ROH, Lethal, quite frankly, doesn’t need Bullet Club to be a top dog in the world of professional wrestling.
Lethal is a gifted performer and continues to achieve tremendous success in the business. Here’s hoping we get to see him win the Tag and 6-Man Tag titles in ROH. Dreams do come true!
