WWE News: Jeff Hardy announces he's clear to wrestle during Hall of Fame
What's the story?
Jeff Hardy has been off injured for a while, although he has been rumoured to be returning soon. Those rumors turned out to indeed be true as Jeff Hardy announced in an interview with Byron Saxton and Maria Menounos that he is cleared to wrestle.
In case you didn't know...
Hardy has made a few appearances for WWE whilst off injured, appearing at the RAW 25 Anniversary Show to sing the 'Obsolete Song' and making a brief appearance in the Ultimate Deletion match between his brother Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt.
The heart of the matter
During the Hall of Fame Red Carpet Pre-Show Jeff Hardy was interviewed by Byron and Maria and Bryan asked him how he was. Hardy replied that he was cleared to wrestle and indicated he was just waiting for the ring idea.
The phrasing of 'appropriate idea' is interesting because it sort of suggests that some return pitches have been made for Jeff Hardy and he hasn't been on board for them.
Jeff Hardy also talked about the Ultimate Deletion match indicating that he hoped there would be another one in the WWE so that he could wrestle in it, and possibly do a 'Swanton off of a tree or something.' Come on WWE give the people what they want. Although, speaking of the WWE, they were clearly listening to the interview and have hyped up Hardy's status
What's next?
Matt Hardy is taking part in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal and is hoping to 'procure' the Andre the Giant trophy. There's every chance we could see Jeff Hardy make an appearance in the match, but he'll more than likely be kept off television until after WrestleMania.
Author's take
I can't wait to see Jeff Hardy back in acttion in the WWE.
