WWE News: Jeff Hardy provides update on his injury
What's the story?
WWE SmackDown Superstar Jeff Hardy recently posted a video on Instagram. Hardy is done with his knee surgery and is in recovery at the moment.
In case you didn't know...
This past week on SmackDown Live, Matt and Jeff Hardy came down to the ring and relinquished their SmackDown Live Tag Team Titles. The Hardy Boyz had previously announced that they would be answering the rumors of Jeff's injury on the recently-concluded episode of SmackDown Live.
The duo was interrupted by Lars Sullivan, who went on to attack The Hardy Boyz. After disposing of Matt, he set his sights on a crutch-equipped Jeff. As Lars was about to maul him, R-Truth came out of nowhere and hit him with a chair. This didn't end well for Truth, though Jeff Hardy managed to leave the ring unscathed.

The heart of the matter
It was reported that Jeff Hardy was going to be needing surgery on his injured knee. The Charismatic Enigma recently posted a video on his official Instagram account. The short clip shows the former WWE Champion lying on a hospital bed, waking up from slumber. Hardy yawns a little, and then proceeds to state that it's now time for him to kick off the healing process. The caption mentioned that Hardy's knee surgery was done on May 2nd.
What's next?
It's not clear how long it would take for Hardy to recover. Matt Hardy is focusing on continuing as a singles Superstar on the blue brand, but longtime fans of The Hardy Boyz would want nothing but to see Jeff back as soon as possible, and reform the exciting tandem.
