WWE News: Jeff Hardy wants 'One Last' Hell In A Cell match against The Undertaker

The Undertaker, please!

TNA Superstar Jeff Hardy has insisted that he wants one last match against The Undertaker at Hell In A Cell. The two last met in a ladder match for the Undisputed WWE Championship back in 2002, which The Phenom won. However, since then the two haven’t crossed paths but with Jeff’s TNA contract coming to an end next year a return to WWE is always possible.

Jeff has been one of the biggest attractions for TNA in recent years along with his brother Matt Hardy. The duo even feuded for the Hardy name in the Final Deletion – which is one of the most critically acclaimed works of recent times – and saw Jeff lose to Broken Matt Hardy in the Hardy household.

Speaking in a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Hardy said: “For the people who really want to know where I’ll be after February, it’s just like what I said when I left [WWE]—this is only goodbye for now, this is not goodbye forever. As long as I’m healthy, there is always that chance I will return and have that one last run. For now, it’s up in the air.

“Ultimately, that’s my last dream match – with the Undertaker at the Hell in a Cell – so a lot of it depends on The Undertaker. If he’s going to still do one match a year, I would really like to be part of a Hell in a Cell with him. But I don’t know if he’s going to wrestle again this year at WrestleMania, or if he’s going to give it up. I was the world champion, but I never got to do a Hell in a Cell or main event a WrestleMania, but so much of it depends on The Undertaker”.

The Undertaker has been doing roughly one match per year following his WrestleMania XXX loss against Brock Lesnar, which brought an end to the legendary streak and made it 21-1.

This year he came up against a returning Shane McMahon and is expected to feature against John Cena at next WrestleMania, which is widely believed to be his last ever WWE match. Now, while Cena might be the apt candidate to feature against The Phenom at WrestleMania’s main event, a Steel Cage match against a returning Jeff Hardy at WrestleMania will not be that bad either.
