What’s the story?

On a recent edition of The Ross Report, Jeremy Borash spoke to Jim Ross on a myriad of topics, besides revealing that the Hardys indeed wanted him to work with them in WWE.

Additionally, Borash also spoke about the new Impact management, besides also praising Anthem’s Ed Nordholm.

In case you didn’t know…

For long, Jeremy Borash has been one of the prominent on-screen personalities and announcers in Impact Wrestling.

Per the vast majority of professional wrestling experts, Borash helped contribute to the Hardy family’s ‘Broken’ gimmick in Impact Wrestling.

The heart of the matter

Jeremy Borash expressed that he’s happy about Scott D’Amore—someone whom he’s worked with for several years, helming Impact Wrestling, besides the newly-recruited Don Callis who represents a good corporate side of things and is great in the boardroom. Borash added that currently, Impact Wrestling is not looking to revamp itself entirely, but rather change just enough so as to survive in today’s landscape. JB also confirmed that the Hardys truly wanted him with them in WWE—

“We wanted to continue to work together no matter where it was. Yeah, it was one of those (things) where we had such chemistry together that we really felt like after at some point, things could have gone in any direction and we really could have gone on to call our own shots as well. Obviously, there (were) different things that happened and it was one of those things that happened so fast, and we just had such a great chemistry together creatively (and) we had series options, (and) we had a lot of things on the table before it all happened and they ended up going back to WWE."

Furthermore, Borash praised Impact Wrestling parent-company Anthem’s head Ed Nordholm, lauding the latter’s business-ethics as Impact now allows its current and former talent to utilize their Impact Wrestling gimmicks in other promotions as well; thus enabling Matt Hardy to utilize his Broken character in WWE today

What’s next?

Jeremy Borash currently works for Impact Wrestling and is one of the few longtime staff members to have been retained by the company after Anthem bought Impact Wrestling from Dixie Carter.

Meanwhile, Matt Hardy portrays his Broken persona albeit as ‘Woken’ Matt Hardy, in the WWE, where he’s now involved in a feud with Bray Wyatt.

Author’s take

What Matt Hardy and Jeremy Borash did in Impact Wrestling is create professional wrestling magic.

The Broken characters captivated fans the world over, and it’d be interesting to see Borash potentially jump ship to the WWE and work with Matt once again. Perhaps he could do that if his contract with Impact is ‘Deleted’.
