WWE News: Jericho opens up on his current run in the WWE
Chris Jericho has been the best thing about Monday Night RAW for the past few months. He has, more often than not, held the show together and with his excellent heel tactics and promos, Y2J continues to entertain the WWE Universe.
Speaking to the Toronto Sun, Jericho said:
"I think this past year in the WWE has really cemented my, not legacy, but cemented Jericho as one of the top guys in the business 26 years later.”
His best friend gimmick with Universal Champion Kevin Owens is one of the best angles in WWE television right now. Jericho is, perhaps, going through the best run of his career at the moment, since his memorable feud with Shawn Michaels in 2008.
Last month, in an interview with 120 Sports, Jericho revealed that the storyline with Kevin Owens has just begun taking shape and promised better things in the future. He mentioned that the storyline was built naturally and they were having fun doing it.
Jericho pointed out that there was a lot of potential in the angle, and the duo of himself and Owens, would certainly entertain the WWE Universe.
The WWE has hinted at a future explosion, between the two best friends with Owens pinning Jericho last week on RAW. The two will team up again at Survivor Series when Team RAW headed by Owens, will take on Team SmackDown headed by AJ Styles. In fact, Styles warned Owens that he would eventually end up making the List of Jericho.

The team of Owens and Jericho called “Jeri-KO”, might be heading for splitsville this Sunday at Survivor Series, leading to a match between the two at the Royal Rumble for the title. WWE could also hold off the feud till WrestleMania and have Jericho take on Owens.
In fact, if Jericho plans on staying with the company in the foreseeable future, he may very well get a shot at the Universal title and become the WWE Universal Champion. This might pave the way for Balor’s return and his feud for the title that he had to relinquish.
It is interesting to note that Balor was booked to take on Jericho after his debut in the main roster. However, those plans were scrapped, and Balor got inserted into the Universal Championship picture.
