WWE News: Jerry Lawler addresses accusations that his podcast co-host scammed fans
What's the story?
In the past week, former Dinner With the King podcast host Glenn Moore has faced numerous accusations that he is involved in scamming fans out of money by selling them, but never shipping, artwork and other goods created by WWE Hall of Famer Jerry "The King" Lawler.
For the first time since news broke of the accusations aimed at Moore, Jerry Lawler has come forth and publicly addressed the situation, denying any direct involvement in the alleged scam.
In case you didn't know...
According to WMC Action News 5, Jerry Lawler superfan Jason Lurie contacted Glenn Moore after Moore advertised via his podcast that fans could buy original artwork created by Jerry Lawler. Lurie claims he commissioned Jerry Lawler, via Glenn Moore, to create several pieces of artwork for Lurie, but after paying Moore thousands of dollars, Lurie never received the artwork.
After months of receiving what Lurie claims were "excuses" from Glenn Moore regarding the whereabouts of the goods Lurie purchased, Lurie decided to contact Jerry Lawler directly. After not hearing from Lawler despite repeated attempts at communication via social media and registered mail, Lurie hired a lawyer to contact Lawler directly.
"Please be advised that, because Mr. Moore acts as your agent with respect to the sale of your original artwork, you may be liable under Tennessee law for the failure to return Mr. Lurie’s payment," reads an attorney's letter send to Jerry Lawler.

"I’m totally shocked by this behavior,” Lawler said during a phone interview with WMC Action News 5. "I mean, we did like 90 podcasts together over a period of years. This is a guy I thought was a friend and I trusted him. I’m certainly sorry this has happened."
What's next?
Jerry Lawler told WMC Action News 5 that he promises to do all he can to make things right by superfan Jason Lurie, and by anyone else who has been affected by the alleged scam involving Glenn Moore.
He added, "We're gonna work to try to make this thing right," Lawler said, "one way or another. Hopefully, we'll be able to get people's money back. If not, we'll get them the artwork they tried to buy."
