WWE News: Jerry Lawler's suspension revoked by WWE
It was reported a couple of weeks ago that Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler and his girlfriend were both taken into police custody following a domestic bust-up which the couple blamed on one another.
Jerry Lawler, 66, and Lauryn McBride, 27, were arrested in Memphis after the incident.
The WWE soon followed up by indefinitely suspending Lawler, owing to their no-nonsense domestic violence policy.
It was also reported that the police could not determine who the aggressor was with Lawler’s girlfriend claiming that he threatened her with a gun, while Lawler said that it was an intoxicated McBride who scratched his face and threatened to kill herself.
Apparently, the case was dismissed yesterday after being settled amicably, with Lawler’s attorney Ted Hansom quoted saying the whole incident was “a big misunderstanding and won't happen again", reports Wrestlinginc.com.
He also mentioned that “We(they) are happy with the outcome.”
Since then, the WWE has also revoked the suspension dealt out to Lawler with immediate effect, meaning that we might not have to put up with David Otunga’s commentary on Smackdown for too much longer.
All’s well that ends well indeed!
