WWE News: Jim Ross and WWE now on better terms

WWE and legendary commentator Jim Ross seem to be on amicable terms these days. The organisation had previously banned their roster from appearing on good ol' JR’s podcast but following SummerSlam, Finn Balor was allowed to appear on it. WWE also helped market his one man show 'Ringside with Jim Ross' which was to happen in Toronto on their official website.

Jim Ross was fired after the infamous press event held during the weekend of SummerSlam 2013. He led a star-studded panel for WWE 2K14 comprising of WWE superstars and legends like Mick Foley, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Ric Flair etc, covering Wrestlemania's 30-year history which was being filmed live.

It was an intense grieving period for Flair as he had just lost his son in an accident but was nonetheless booked for the event. Post the event, JR was accused of being drunk during the proceedings but Ross cleared the accusation in an interview that he wasn't drunk at all.

It was clear that 'The Nature Boy' was quite drunk and took over the spotlight by going for long rants and telling old stories in all honesty which were surely appreciated by the crowd but not by the chairman of the company, Vince McMahon.

Jim Ross was mainly blamed for not being able to control the event and was given the pink slip. Ric Flair was also removed from the panel.

Although it was projected that Ross had retired on his own terms to avoid a media uproar, in reality, he was fired, which the commentator revealed after a long period of silence.

Here are a few snippets from a previous show:

The show as mentioned above heads to Toronto on 11/20, 2pm to 4:30pm local time. It will take place at The Second City on 51 Mercer St. A 15 min walk from Air Canada Centre. It is scheduled in such a way that the fans will be able to get to the Survivor Series event later that evening. His shows are filled with surprises and guest stars both who are part of the roster or retired.
