WWE News: Jim Ross believes Brock Lesnar will defeat Goldberg in their upcoming match

These two monsters last collided 12 years ago

After months of speculations, the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion Bill Goldberg finally returned to WWE this past Monday night on Raw and fans also gave the former WCW star a hero's welcome upon his return inside a wrestling ring.

However, while the return of the former WWE Champion has excited fans all over the world, it has also triggered speculations on if Goldberg will finally prove to be the one to end Brock Lesnar's dominance on WWE programming or if the Beast will finally take his revenge from Bill for his loss at WrestleMania.

If we believe to the WWE Legend Jim Ross, the possibilities are that fans who are wishing to see Brock finally meeting an akin opponent who can kick his a** will once again be disappointed and The Beast will get his hand raised in the announced Wrestlemania rematch.

In his latest blog post, the former WWE commentator shared his thoughts on the upcoming bout between the two former WrestleMania opponents and said that he sees Brock Lesnar getting the victory in their proposed match. He said:

"I expect that Goldberg will be jeered in Toronto as Lesnar is now residing in the Saskatoon area plus Goldberg is unfortunately known as the man who ended Bret Hart's in ring wrestling career. I still think that this will be a 'one off' for @Goldberg and I still see Lesnar getting his hand raised."

It's worth noticing here that ever since WWE and 2K announced as the Pre-Order bonus for the WWE 2K 17 video game, fans were expecting the former World Champion return to WWE.

The WCW veteran also provoked these rumours by expressing his grief against his WrestleMania 20 opponent Brock Lesnar and by repeatedly mentioning his urge to step foot inside a wrestling ring for one more match during the promotion of WWE’s latest video game.

Although WWE officials did not show much interest in bringing the former NFL star back initially, the repetitive rumours and the fan backlash at SummerSlam 2016 finally compelled WWE to bring the former WCW star back for one more match.

As a result, Goldberg made his WWE return after 12 years of absence this past Monday night on Raw where he accepted the challenge issued by Brock Lesnar and, in the process, set up a future rematch between the two former World Champions.

WWE has not announced the date or venue for the highly-anticipated match, which is expected to take place at the Survivor Series PPV next month.

The ambiguity over Goldberg’s future and whether he’d win his match against Lesnar have been the topics of intense debate. However, JR feels Lesnar has Goldbergs number this time around. Do you agree with the WWE legend?
