The legendary announcer blogged at length about the recent WWE signings

What's the story?

Jim Ross may not appear on our television screens on a weekly basis, but he's still very much a part of the WWE Universe. Ross blogged about a variety of topics pertaining to WWE and the fascinating world of scripted combat.

Among the topics the former talent scout of WWE touched upon was the matter of WWE signing Ricochet and War Machine. He sees potential in both of these signings, from the company's perspective.

In case you didn't know...

Ricochet is a dynamic, high-flying superstar best known for his work in NJPW. At NJPW, he's won a whole series of accolades, including both the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships and NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championships (three times each).

He's also wrestled as Prince Puma for Lucha Underground, where he won the Lucha Underground Championship twice.

As for War Machine, they're known for their work in ROH and NJPW (where they have been 2-time IWGP Tag Team Champions, in the past).

The heart of the matter

This is what Ross thought of War Machine signing with WWE:

From calling their bouts in NJPW for AXSTV the past few years, I've become a fan of the tag team of War Machine, a throw back tag team that has IMO an unlimited upside. Along with a healthy, Revival, these teams will definitely strengthen WWE's talent roster and tag team scene.

Of course, he had the utmost faith in Ricochet as well:

Ricochet is a great 'get' for WWE IMO as he's one of the most dynamic offensive wrestlers in the world for sure.

What's next?

Good Ol' JR will be seen at RAW 25 next. As for these new signings, we're not yet sure. They may just show up at NXT Takeover: Philadelphia.

Author's take

I'm really excited to see what happens with Ricochet and War Machine. I'm certain that you guys are too.

I just hope that WWE realizes the potential that these superstars have, and books them as they should be.
