WWE News: Jim Ross explains what Impact Wrestling should do to recover
What's the story?
In his latest blog, WWE Hall of Famer, Jim Ross, gave his opinion on what Impact Wrestling should do to stay afloat and be relevant once again.
JR said that the "talent roster cleanse", as he calls it, is not a surprise but could be helpful for the new creative team in the promotion.
In case you didn't know...
Impact Wrestling has faced several obstacles, starting with them severing ties with Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling, followed by a string of talent leaving the company.
Chris Adonis, Laurel Van Ness, James Storm and Ethan Carter III have all left the promotion recently. The rumour mill suggests that former TNA/Impact World Heavyweight Champion, Bobby Lashley, has also left the company.

There have also been rumours that Alberto El Patron, former GFW Global Champion, wants to leave after his contract expires, and mend his relationship with Triple H and the WWE, and make a return to his former promotion.
The heart of the matter
Impact Wrestling is currently not in the best shape, as some of their best talent is leaving the promotion and rumoured to be switching to the WWE.
JR, in his blog, wrote that the wrestlers leaving Impact could be a good thing for Impact and their future: "No one should be surprised that Impact Wrestling is going through a major talent roster cleanse, for the lack of a better term, which provides their new, booking/creative group some new talents to utilize which generally helps 're-starts.'"
The legendary pro wrestling is known for his passionate play-by-play commentating, but what many don't know is that he played a key role in hiring talent during his stint with the WWE.
The WWE Hall of Famer also suggested that the promotion should tie up with an "upgraded North American TV partner", and "get someone 'HOT'."

Impact Wrestling have made several changes lately - from switching to a squared ring, to a new channel to broadcast their shows, signing up talent, and letting go of old talent. It remains to be seen if there will be much change in their viewership or popularity, though.
