WWE news: Jim Ross was once offered money to take naked pics of Andre The Giant

JR was offered money to take pictures of Andre The Giant

What’s the story?

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross was once offered money by a female fan to take nude pictures of none other than Andre The Giant, while the latter was showering. Ross spoke about the incident during a recent edition of The Ross Report.

In case you didn’t know...

JR, as we all know, is a legend in the pro wrestling business due to his many years of outstanding work at the commentary table. Ross recently returned to WWE for a cameo appearance at WrestleMania 33, during which he commentated on what may well have been The Undertaker’s retirement match against Roman Reigns. There have been rumours suggesting that Ross has signed a two-year deal with the company, but those claims have yet to be validated.

The heart of the matter

Ross told the Andre story while talking with WWE legend Ted DiBiase, who also shared several stories about the big man. JR recalls that a female fan offered him $100 to take pictures of Andre while he was showering, however, the legendary commentator declined. Then, when he told Andre about the incident, the Frenchman said that he should’ve done it and that they could’ve split the money.

What’s next?

Hopefully, we get to hear even more Andre stories as the years go by, with every single one of them being as amusing as the last. It’s not yet known when Ross will return to WWE once again in a commentary capacity, but if he does, then the odds are that the company will save his appearance for a big occasion such as WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans.

Author’s take

We love everything about this, from the start of the story all the way through to the very end. Andre is one of the most influential figures we’ve ever seen in the world of professional wrestling, and he deserves to be celebrated because of that.

We just wish that the Memorial Battle Royal in his name had a bit more credibility.
