What’s the story?

Rumours suggested that the WWE higher-ups weren’t pleased with Jimmy Jacobs posing for a photograph with Bullet Club who recently attempted to ‘invade’ a taping of Monday Night RAW.

Jimmy Jacobs reacted to the ongoing rumors of him being fired from the WWE, with the following posts—

In case you didn’t know…

Jimmy Jacobs, whose real name is Christopher Scoville, is perhaps best known for his time as a competitor in ROH (Ring Of Honor).

The 33-year-old also had a couple of one-off matches in the WWE in the mid-2000s, and has been working as a writer for the WWE’s creative team since 2015.

The heart of the matter

Jacobs has neither confirmed nor denied the talk of his WWE contract being terminated.

However, the former ROH Tag Team Champion has taken to social media in order to make light of the conundrum, by jesting that upon seeing his name trending online, he initially though himself to be a victim of a run-of-the-mill online death hoax.

Regardless, Jacobs did directly address the rumour surrounding his alleged firing from WWE, asserting that should the news turn out to be true, fans ought to buy the new T-Shirt, which shows him in the controversial photo alongside Bullet Club members outside the arena where the aforementioned episode of RAW was being taped.

What’s next?

The WWE and Jimmy Jacobs are yet to officially confirm or deny news of his contract termination. Sportskeeda will keep you updated on the same.

Author’s take

The Bullet Club invasion angle didn’t really work for them, as they were neither able to create significant buzz on the night of RAW, nor did the WWE accord any considerable attention to the same.

Regardless, I truly believe that both the WWE and Bullet Club don’t need each other, and are perfect just the way they are. Besides, the stable is doing good business in the indies and ought to focus on the organisations they work for rather than WWE.
