What’s the story?

In an interview with Planeta Wrestling, Jinder Mahal opened up on a myriad of topics.

Mahal revealed his feelings on no longer being WWE Champion. Besides, “The Modern Day Maharajah” spoke about being "the most dominant Superstar in WWE", his future plans as well as the WWE as a global brand.

In case you didn’t know…

Jinder Mahal sent shockwaves through the professional wrestling community last May—defeating Randy Orton for the WWE Championship at Backlash.

Mahal held the WWE Championship for 170 days, before dropping it to AJ Styles last November.

The heart of the matter

Jinder Mahal elucidated that although he lost the WWE Championship to AJ Styles, his title-reign helped him prove his doubters wrong—what with his critics time and again have stated that he’d never win any title in WWE let alone the WWE Championship.

Mahal noted that he is now on the RAW brand, and has his eyes on Roman Reigns, as the latter claims that RAW is his yard—something Mahal disagrees with. Mahal added that he’d also like to feud with Brock Lesnar over the latter’s Universal title; as well as with Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins.

Furthermore, Mahal explained that his future goals are to win the Universal, Tag Team and Intercontinental titles that will make him a “Grand Slam Champion”. Mahal continued that WWE is a universal form of entertainment, and he believes anyone could watch WWE on mute and still know what’s going on. He stated—

“With that being said, WWE is all over the world. Everyone can enjoy this form of entertainment—WWE is growing every day, every week and every month—seems like I hear a new partnership with television partners being broadcasted in a country where it wasn't broadcasted before.”

“We go to many new countries all the time and put on groundbreaking events like the Saudi Arabia show with the Greatest Royal Rumble. I believe we are going back in November, this time in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia—the sky is truly the limit for WWE."

What’s next?

The vast majority of professional wrestling experts believe that Jinder Mahal is set to continue his feud with Roman Reigns in the days to come on Monday Night RAW.
