WWE News: After a surprising No.1 contender being announced, WWE Backlash WWE Championship Match Confirmed
SmackDown LIVE! kicked off with the Six-Pack Challenge, a six-man match for the No.1 Contender spot for the WWE World Title. The audience were brilliant performance from Sami Zayn, Erick Rowan, Dolph Ziggler, Luke Harper and Mojo Rawley as they got to see two consecutive Superplexes followed by a Sunset Flip from the superstars.
As it was reported first by us in an earlier article, Jinder was booked to win the No.1 Contender spot but how it happened was quite unexpected. Former CWC Tag Team Bollywood Boyz, the tag team comprised of real-life brothers Gurv Sihra and Harv Sihra, interfered at the end helping Jinder secure the World Title shot. He will be main eventing Backlash against Randy Orton on May 21st.
Although fans were booing Jinder after the victory, he definitely has some serious traction right now and SmackDown LIVE! could definitely use a good heel like Jinder in the World Title picture to make things more interesting.
The consensus among fans and critics is that we will be seeing a new stable on SmackDown LIVE! with the Bollywood Boyz members and Jinder Mahal as the leader.
