What's the story?

WWE Superstar John Cena appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live recently to seemingly promote his upcoming movie Blockers. Coincidentally, none other than Dwyane "The Rock" Johnson had appeared on the same show, just the previous night.

When Kimmel asked The Rock about his past issues with Cena, Johnson assured him that all of the adversity was behind them now, but jokingly ended his message with a threat to John Cena. In return, Cena responded with quite a quirky threat of his own, when he appeared on the show!

In case you didn’t know…

John Cena and The Rock feuded with each other back in 2012, and it was very apparent to the fans that the rivalry was not just limited to the screen. Both Superstars admitted that they had some issues with each other in real life as well, though both have now claimed that all that is behind them now and that they are friends in the present day.

Even when he appeared on the talk show, The Rock claimed that all was good between the two men, but jokingly, ended his 'promo' with a threat:

The heart of the matter

When Kimmel gave John Cena the message from The People's Champion, Cena had what can only be called a bewildered expression on his face. He responded humorously, calling Johnson 'T HeRock' claiming that that was actually Johnson's real name. (Transcripted by Wrestle Zone)

"Why would you say that to me? I’m not going to take that! Listen up, Dwayne Johnson… if that is your real name. Everybody around the world knows your first name is ’T’ and your last name is ‘Herock’. You just pronounce it all weird and it just gets me even more pissed off."

Continuing with his rant, Cena took the opportunity to promote his new film Blockers, claiming that The Rock threatening to stick a toothbrush up his rear didn't really bother him, since he had way worse things done, in his upcoming movie, as can be seen in the trailer of the movie.

"Listen, if you think you’re making threats to me, and think shoving a toothbrush up my bum is a threat, I’ve got some advice for you pal! And by pal, I totally mean my best friend, I don’t mean it as an adversarial term. Watch Blockers, and then watch it again! Because if you think shoving a toothbrush up my butt is a threat, you got news comin’ pal! There’s been a funnel up there, there’s been a parking cone, there’s more traffic in that region than a Monday on the 405 in both directions!"

What's next?

The Rock was on the show to promote his upcoming movie Rampage, while Cena was promoting his upcoming comedy, Blockers.

While John Cena is reported to come face to face with The Undertaker at WrestleMania, The Rock is rumoured to have a musical segment with Elias.

Let's just say John Cena's detailed description in the video will make sure you never look at him in the same way ever again!
